Agartala, Jan 19: The staff of GRP unit, Agartala arrested a Bangladeshi national, 10 others along with ganja and another person with demonetized notes during a search in Tripura Sundari Express in Agartala railway station on Thursday.

The GRP staff led by Dy SP Ratna Sadhan Jamatia conducted search in Tripura Sundari express at Agartala Railway Station.

During checking, the GRP staff including OC Inspector Rana Chatterjee detained 10 persons-- 7 female and 3 male, all from Bihar, along with 34 kg dry ganja.

A specific case has been registered under appropriate section of NDPS Act against the detained persons, according to GRP sources.

Besides, a Bangladeshi National has been detained and a specific case has been registered against him. The GRP staff also detained another person along with demonetized Indian currencies worth Rs. 1,20,000.
