Congress Govt in Rajasthan proven to fail on every front: Amit Shah

Sept 10 (AIR News): Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah has said that the Congress government in Rajasthan has proven to fail on every front.

He was addressing the BJP's booth worker 'Sankalp Mahasammelan' in Jodhpur on Saturday. He said that Congress has not fulfilled the promises made during the Assembly elections.

He accused the ruling Congress government of the State of doing politics of appeasement and vote bank. The Union Home Minister said, crime has increased rapidly in the State while the unemployment rate has increased wildly.

The people of the State are getting expensive electricity, diesel, and petrol as compared to other States, he added.

The Union Home Minister said, the Central Government is continuously cooperating with the development of Rajasthan. The Centre has sanctioned 23 medical colleges for the State. Mr. Shah also took a dig at former Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'. He said, Mr. Gandhi should first know the history of India.

Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and State BJP President Dr. Satish Poonia also addressed the programme. Earlier, Mr. Shah addressed the concluding Session of the National Working Committee of OBC Morcha of BJP in Jodhpur.

This morning, the Minister laid the foundation stone of the Border Tourism Development Project in the Tanot temple complex near the India-Pakistan border area in Jaisalmer.

This project will increase the tourist facilities in the border area. The Minister paid homage to the martyred soldiers at the Vijay Stambh at Tanot. He also offered prayers at the Tanot Devi Temple.
