Tripura Governor, CM join Yoga sessions on Int’l Yoga Day

Agartala, June 21: As part of the observance of 10th International Day of Yoga, Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha among other notable figures participated in Yoga sessions with the theme ‘Yoga for Self and Society’.

The Governor inaugurated 10th International Yoga Day-2024 organised by Prajapati Brahmakumaris, Agartala at Muktadhara Auditorium in the evening. Earlier on the day, he attended the International Day of Yoga programme at Assam Rifles Public School, Agartala organised by Elite Eighteen.

International Exhibition Center in Hapania witnessed the state-level event where Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Tinku Roy, Cooperatives Minister Shukla Charan Noatia along with the officials and representatives from various fields participated in Yoga session.

Padma Shri Dipa Karmakar, Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ramprasad Pal, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Director General of Police (Intelligence) Anurag Dhankar and Secretary to Information and Cultural Affairs department P.K. Chakraborty were among the participants.

The Chief Minister said, yoga is an integral part of daily life and we all should practice Yoga regularly. He also mentioned the nutritional benefits of millet.

Dr. Saha also highlighted the global recognition of Yoga practice due to the continuous efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasized how yoga helps in self-realization and maintaining inner peace.

Meanwhile, similar Yoga day events were organized by various government and private establishments, educational institutions, security forces and social organizations across Tripura with great enthusiasm.
