1451 kg ganja seized in Tripura’s Sonamura, CM hails police’s efforts

Agartala, Aug 21: As part of Neshamukt Tripura campaign, Sepahijala district police seized 1451 dry ganja in a special operation carried out at Gatigarh area under Sonamura police station on Sunday evening.
The market value of the seized ganja is approximately Rs. 80 lakh, according to police.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha hailed the Tripura Police’s efforts in the Neshamukt Tripura campaign and sought full cooperation from the people in the war again drugs.
According to the Chief Minister, the state government’s goal is to keep the young generation away from the drugs.
Meanwhile, in a separate raid, huge quantity of cannabis was seized by Kalamchoura police station in Sepahijala district on Sunday. The raid was carried out in a forest area of Manikya Nagar Gram Panchayat. The market value of the seized ganja is Rs. 10.50 lakh.
