16,942 govt jobs provided in Tripura since 2018-19: CM

Agartala, April 27: The present Tripura government has provided 16,942 jobs since 2018-18, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said on Sunday.
Speaking at 479 appointment letters distribution ceremony held at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala, said the government has been maintaining toral transparency in recruitment, aligning with the vision set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During Sunday’s event, 479 fresh appointment letters were handed over for 126 posts under the Social Welfare and Social Education Department (CDPOs and ICDS Supervisors), 197 Junior Engineer posts under the Public Works Department, and 156 positions in Tripura State Co-operative Bank Limited (Assistant Manager, Cash-cum-General Clerk, and Multi-Tasking Staff).
The Chief Minister said that in 2025 alone, 3,296 government jobs were provided including 2,437 Group-D recruitments through JRBT.
Additionally, 5,771 contractual and outsourced positions have been filled since 2018-19, further reflecting the government’s commitment to creating employment opportunities across sectors.
Congratulating the new appointees, the Chief Minister urged them to dedicate themselves to public service and uphold the spirit of good governance.
The program was also attended by Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, and other senior officials.
