3760 bottles phensedyl, 35 kgs ganja seized despite villagers’ attack

Agartala, July 25: Despite attack from the villagers, a joint team of BSF and police on Thursday seized phensedyl and ganja from a house at Barnarayanpur village in Sepahijala district.

When the joint party began the operation based on secret information, the villagers suddenly started pelting stone and helped the house owner- Iman Miyan to flee away.

As the mob attacked the joint operation party with the goal to prevent the seizure and obstruct the personnel on duty, a driver of the BSF vehicle got injured. He was rushed to the local PHC for first Aid. In this attack, one police vehicle also suffered damage.

A BSF press statement said, the joint operation party showed extreme restraint while dealing with the unruly mob avoiding collateral damage.

The seizure included 3760 bottles of phensedyl and ganja weighing 35 kilograms.
