4 students from Tripura to take part in ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with PM

Agartala, Jan 15: Tripura Education minister Ratanlal Nath on Saturday said four students from the state would participate in ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on January 27 next.
He said, the event ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is scheduled to be held at Talkatora stadium in New Delhi. The Prime Minister would interact with the participants to leave their stress and nervousness for examination behind.
As many as 32,705 students from Tripura had participated in an online creative competition on eight subjects for selection for the event. Among them, two selected candidates- Sneha Das of South Nalchar School in Sepahijala district and Bijoy Sharma of Brilliant Star School in Gomati district would join the main programme in New Delhi.
Apart from that, two awardees of national-level Kala Utsav- Moumita Sarkar and Riya Ganguly would also represent Tripura in the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ as well as national Republic Day programme in New Delhi.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, the Education minister also said that Digital Library has been introduced in Tripura for the students of Class- IX and X. He said, as many as 9120 tabs have been procured through GeM at an expenditure of Rs. 9.95 crore for the Digital Library initiative; 304 high and higher secondary schools would get 30 tabs each. The distribution of tabs would commence on January 17 next.
