40,256 aspirants appear in written test for 2500 Group-D posts in Tripura

Agartala, Aug 20: Setting aside all rumours, the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) has conducted the written tests for Group-D posts (multi-tasking staff) on Friday.
According to a government press release, as many as 55,675 aspirants were enrolled for the Group-D posts. Among them, 40,256 candidates (72.30 percent) had appeared at the written examination.
With all Covid safety norms in place, the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura has conducted the examination in 213 centres across the state.
The candidates were given triple-layer masks, sanitizer, hand gloves and face shields before entering the examination halls.
As part of the arrangements, District Isolation Centres were set up for the Covid-infected candidates where 4 aspirants appeared at the exam. Separate isolation rooms were also arranged for the candidates having Covid symptoms. There was also a special arrangement for the Divyang candidates.
Meanwhile, the written examination for 2410 Group-C posts would take place on August 22. Earlier, the examination was deferred following the Covid pandemic.
The Group-C posts included 1500 LDC, 450 Agri. Assistants (TAFS Grade-III and Except TAFS Grade-III), 236 Junior Operator (Pump) and 209 Junior Multi Tasking Operator.
According to official sources, the number of candidates applied for Group-C posts is 1,04,200. The examination would be conducted in 436 centres covering all blocks.
