The appointment of Abhishek Debroy as the new president of Tripura BJP marks the rise of a young, energetic and dedicated leader whose political journey reflects hard work, organizational commitment and close association with grassroots workers.

A legislator from Matabari assembly constituency in Gomati district, Debroy’s elevation is not merely a political appointment but a recognition of his steady rise within the party organization.

His journey through several positions within BJP has been marked by perseverance and loyalty. Beginning his organizational career as a booth president and later serving as the Mandal and Gomati district president, Debroy earned the trust of both the leadership and party workers through his effective leadership and strong organizational skills.

He first took charge as the president of a booth committee in Kakraban Assembly constituency in 2017 and later was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Kakraban Mandal. Recognized for his organizational abilities and commitment to party work, Debroy subsequently served as the Gomati district BJP president for several years. 

His political career reached a new milestone in 2023 when he contested the Assembly elections from the Matabari constituency and emerged victorious, becoming an MLA.

Apart from politics, Debroy pursued higher education and earned a B.Pharm degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, in 2020.

Hailing from the sacred land of Mata Tripura Sundari, Debroy’s growth within the BJP carries an emotional significance for many supporters as he secured the chair of the party’s state unit; his journey symbolizes dedication and unwavering commitment to organizational values.

Known for his strong connection with Karyakartas at the grassroots level, Debroy has remained accessible and actively engaged with workers across different sections of the organization. 

His ability to connect with party workers, understand local concerns and motivate workers has played a crucial role in strengthening the BJP network in Gomati district and beyond.

Debroy is widely regarded as a young and educated leader with vast organizational experience. Alongside his political responsibilities, he has maintained a deep commitment to public service, focusing on the welfare and development of people in his constituency and the state.

As he takes charge of the Tripura BJP, party workers and supporters expect that Debroy will lead the organization with renewed energy, fresh ideas and strong commitment. His appointment represents both continuity and a new chapter for the party in Tripura, guided by a leader shaped by organizational discipline.
