Agartala set to host Industries and Commerce Fair from Jan 29

Agartala, Jan 22: Hapania International Fair Ground in Agartala is all set to host 35th edition of the Tripura Industries and Commerce Fair commencing from Jan 29.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma during a press conference attended by Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Nabadal Banik, Secretary Kiran Gitte, Director Viswashree B., and other officials.
As a highlight of this year’s event, the ‘Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2025’ will take place on February 7-8 at a private hotel in Agartala. The conclave will host around 150 investors, delegates, and bankers and is expected to include the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at bringing investments to Tripura.
Minister Santana Chakma revealed that this year’s fair would feature 515 stalls, emphasizing the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative. Of these, 337 stalls will be from local businesses, marking a significant rise from the 269 local stalls in the previous year.
The Minister expressed optimism that the fair’s total sales, which reached Rs. 6.28 crore last year, would see a substantial increase this year.
The theme for this year’s fair is ‘Destination Tripura: A Land of Opportunity’, aiming to highlight the state's potential on a global scale. A special ‘Tech Pavilion’ will be set up, showcasing the state’s advancements in technology and innovation, which is expected to be a major attraction for visitors.
The Tripura government has pledged to make the event more extensive and impactful, reflecting its commitment to promoting the state as a hub for industry, commerce, and investment opportunities.
