Agartala, Dec 10: Agartala is all set to host the first-ever North Eastern Council's Plenary Session on December 20-21.

Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah will chair the NEC Meet, in presence of DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Ahead of this upcoming event, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday inspected the venues- Ujjayanta Palace and Pragya Bhavan and reviewed the overall preparedness. He also passed necessary instructions to the officials concerned.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Saha said, apart from the Union Home Minister, DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Governors, Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers and high officials of the Northeast would also join the plenary session.

The NEC Meet will include discussions on wide range of topics from development projects to drugs trafficking and border related issues.

The administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensuring smooth conduct of the event.
