Agartala to Ladakh: Tripura bikers join drugs-free India campaign

Agartala, May 07: A group of youths from Tripura initiated a bike ride from Agartala to Ladakh as they joined the drugs-free India campaign.
The awareness bike ride was flagged-off from Agartala on Sunday with two youths- Ayan Sharma and Surajit Debnath on the mission.
The bike ride is an initiative by a group of young Agartala professionals from diverse fields. The initiative is to create awareness among the general public, specially the youth in stopping drug abuse. It’s a campaign to popularise the consequences of drug addiction.
After Kolkata, another Agartala-based biker Shuvam Roy will join them for Ladakh and from Delhi other bikers Joypratap Biswas and Santanu Deb will join them for the final destination. The bikers will cover a distance of 11,000 kms in their journey from Agartala-Ladakh-Agartala.
The total journey will take 25 days. The bikers will travel through Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Kashmir. During their journey, they will stop at various locations and engage in awareness activity and interact with local people including youth.
They sought cooperation from people from various walks of life including media professionals, government officials, police and armed forces.
