Agartala, Aug 19: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Ministers of all northeastern states are scheduled to join the North East Council (NEC) meeting scheduled to be held on Agartala from August 31.
According to Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Tripura will host the NEC meeting from August 31 to September 1 next.
He said, the Chief Ministers and Governors of the Northeastern states, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will attend the meeting.
The Chief Minister said, all issues related to Tripura, including border and development concerns would be discussed in the important meeting.
"We will also showcase the innovative work happening in Tripura, and discussions will be held with other Northeastern states," he added.
Dr. Saha further said that he would chair a review meeting to oversee the arrangements, given the large number of delegates expected to attend the NEC meeting on August 31 and September 1.
