Assam Rifles in Agartala honours Judoka Asmita Dey for historic CWG achivement

Assam Rifles honoured judoka Asmita Dey at Agartala in recognition of her exceptional sporting journey and accomplishments, including her recent gold medal-winning performance at the Commonwealth Games, which has brought immense pride to Tripura and the nation.

Asmita, a daughter of Tripura, hailing from South Tripura district, became the first Indian Judoka to  secure a gold in the Commonwealth Games and scripted a history.

The felicitation recognised Asmita Dey’s dedication, determination and sustained efforts in the field of sports. 

Her achievements on the international stage reflect the hard work and commitment that have enabled her to make a mark for herself and bring recognition to the State of Tripura.
