Assam Rifles leads by example on World Blood Donor Day

Agartala, June 14: Troops of Assam Rifles participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the World Blood Donor Day event held at Pragna Bhawan on Sunday.

The event was organised by the Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tripura. 

The World Blood Donor Day observance was attended by Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha as the Chief Guest.

According to a press release, a large number of personnel from Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles voluntarily came forward to donate blood, reaffirming their commitment to humanitarian service and reinforcing the time-honoured belief that true strength lies not merely in arms, but in compassion and selfless contribution towards society. 

The gesture was widely appreciated by the civil administration and the gathering present at the event.

Assam Rifles remains steadfast in its resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with civil society in all such noble causes, embodying the spirit of a strong society and a stronger nation, built on the foundation of selfless service and shared humanity, the press release said.
