Agartala, July 17: In yet another success, Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Customs Department seized 16,000 Yaba Tablets from Sidhai Mohanpur in West Tripura district on Tuesday.

The estimated value of the seized items is Rs 2.88 crore, according to Assam Rifles.

Based on credible information, the joint operation was launched by Assam Rifles and Customs Department which led to the seizure of 16,000 Yaba tablets.

The consignment worth Rs. 2.88 crore was handed over to the Customs Department for further investigation and legal proceedings.

Assam Rifles in a press note reiterated its commitment to towards building drugs-free society.
