Bangladesh PM sends return gifts to Tripura CM

Agartala, June 27: Demonstrating the warm relations between two neighboring countries- Bangladesh and India, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent return gifts to Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. This thoughtful package features regional delicacies including mangoes, hilsa fish, and sweets.
The gifts included famous Haribhanga mangoes, Hilsa fish and sweets.
The consignment, consisting of 400 kg of delicious and juicy Haribhanga mangoes from the Dinajpur and Rangpur regions of Bangladesh, 50 kg of renowned Hilsa fish, and 50 kg of sweets (Rasgulla), was received at the Agartala- Akhaura Integrated Check Post by officials from the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission on Thursday.
This gesture from the Bangladesh PM was a return gift following Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha's gift of 500 kg of 'Queen' variety of pineapples, continuing a tradition from previous years.
Md. Rezaul Haque Chowdhury, First Secretary and Head of Chancery at the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, stated, “This exchange of gifts aims to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance mutual understanding between both neighboring countries.”
Another official from the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission mentioned that the gifts would be handed over to the Chief Minister upon his return from New Delhi.
