Biplab Deb proposes pantry car for Agartala- Deoghar Express

Agartala, Dec 20: Former Tripura Chief Minister and sitting MP Rajya Sabha Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday sent a letter to the Minister of Railways Aswini Vaishnab proposing pantry car for Agartala- Deoghar express train.

In his letter, Deb pointed out that the passengers who travel in this train are mostly devotees and followers of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra from Tripura and Jharkhand. He highlighted an issue that non- availability of pantry car in the train is causing convenience to the passengers in terms of availing foods.

While proposing pantry car in this train, Deb also placed a demand to add vegetarian foods.

The Agartala- Deoghar Express train runs weekly under the Northeast Frontier Railway. The train from Agartala departs on Saturday and reaches Deoghar on Monday morning and in return, the train leaves from Deoghar on Monday evening.

If the train departs a day later instead of returning on the same day from Deoghar, it would largely benefit the devotees, Deb mentioned.
