Jan 06 (AIR News): Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said, the BJP-led government has transformed the North East States into a peaceful and developed region within eight years of its rule in the country.

Addressing public rallies in Manipur and Nagaland today, Mr. Shah said, the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi developed connectivity and joined the region with the rest of India. He said, it is because of the endearing vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that not only Nagaland, but all the eight Northeast states are walking through the stages of development. 

Mr. Shah said, the Modi government has a vision of three 3Ps for Nagaland- Peace, progress, and prosperity and today all these 3Ps have been successfully implemented in Nagaland. The  Home Minister noted that Nagaland and the Northeast region which was earlier known for its insurgent groups, today is known for its peace and progress through connectivity and development.

On the forthcoming State Assembly election in Nagaland, Mr. Shah said, with the existing alliance between BJP and NDPP in the state, he firmly believes that together they will contest elections and enure that they come to power with a full majority, and develop Nagaland.

The Union Home Minister was in Manipur and Nagaland to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects.
