BSF field commanders in Tripura asked to curb illegal migration of B'deshi nationals

Agartala, July 13: The ADG of BSF Eastern Command visited Boxanagar border outpost and and adjoining border areas in Sonamura sub-division of Tripura on Saturday.

The ADG was accompanied by Patel Piyush Purushottam Das, the IG BSF, Tripura.
The ADG joined a prahari sammelan at the Boxanagar BOP in which he interacted with the Officers and seema praharis including the mahila praharis on the various operational issues being faced at the ground level. 
He also directed the field commanders to take all necessary steps to curb the menace of trans-border crime, including illegal migration of Bangladeshi nationals.
After the Prahri Sammelan, the ADG BSF along with the IG visited N.C.Nagar village in Boxanagar, which is ahead of border fence near gate number 185A.  
He was given a warm welcome there by the villagers. He had a detailed interaction with the villagers and enquired about the problems being faced by them and he further assured them of all assistance from BSF. 
It is pertinent to mention here that there are 43 such villages in Tripura having more than 4600 people living ahead of fence. 
These villages are highly prone to border crimes from trans border criminals and challenging in terms of border management and BSF is fully committed to their safety and security. After the visit, the ADG left for Kolkata in the evening.
