Agartala, Aug 04: On the occasion of Chinmaya Mission completing 75 years, participants of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra met Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at his official residence in Agartala today.

Notably, the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra group, which has traveled approximately 25,000 kilometers across various states of India, has now entered Tripura. During today's meeting at the Chief Minister's official residence, Swami Mitrananda of the Chinmaya Seva Trust, Tripura Chapter, shared the experiences of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra with the Chief Minister on behalf of the group of pilgrims.

Twenty-three participants of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra were present during today's meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that transparency and honesty are extremely important for good work in society. He noted that in educational institutions, people generally only gain knowledge from textbooks on various subjects, whereas alongside education, it is necessary to acquire true wisdom and that work the Chinmaya Mission has been carrying out.

He said that through the teachings of the Chinmaya Mission, it is possible to become good human being. The Chief Minister said that to move in the right direction, it is extremely important to guide the mind properly, and that the Chinmaya Mission's method of education teaches how to steer the mind in the right direction.

Dr. Saha emphasized that the Chinmaya Mission's role in spreading education rooted in Sanatani thought is immense, noting that most people in the country lack knowledge about Sanatani traditions, and that the Chinmaya Mission is engaged in precisely this work of imparting and spreading such knowledge.

He said, this needs to be spread even more widely among ordinary people, adding that every person's fundamental identity is that of being a human being. He cited, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who considers himself an ordinary person and whose primary goal is service to the nation.

The Chief Minister said that students and youth walking on the right path play a special role in taking a country and state forward, and that the Chinmaya Mission's education and outreach could play an even more important role in guiding students and youth in the right direction.

The Chief Minister extended his best wishes for the successful continuation of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra. During the meeting, representatives of the Chinmaya Mission presented the Chief Minister with a book as a gift. The visiting participants of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra also shared their experiences with the Chief Minister. Keshab Lal Roy, Secretary of the Chinmaya Seva Trust, Tripura Chapter, was also present.
