Agartala, July 30: The state government on Thursday gave clarification that the examination for recruitment of Community Health Officers (CHOs) under National Health Mission (NHM) was held in a transparent manner.

Addressing a Press Conference at the secretariat, Chief Minister's secretary Kiran Gitte said, after the allegations were raised by a section of candidates, a probe committee was formed.

The committee conducted a thorough probe, taking every matter related to conduct of the examination into consideration and did not find any unfair practice, Gitte said, adding that the allegations regarding paper leak were not valid.

He said, the examination for recruitment of 126 CHOs was conducted by the recruitment agency across 12 centres on February 1 last.

A total of 2,614 candidates had appeared in the examination and the results were declared on July 15. He noted, there was no complaint of paper leak till the results were declared.

After the complaints were received, a committee was constituted and the probe was conducted.

According to the probe committee findings, the examination was held in a complete transparent manner, Gitte said, while appealing the candidates to have faith in the process.

NHM Tripura Mission Director Saju Vaheed A was also present in the press conference.
