CM Conclave: PM Modi praises Tripura govt's ‘Amar Sarkar’ initiative

Agartala, July 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday praised the ‘Amar Sarkar’ initiative launched by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.

The ‘Aamar Sarkar’ web portal has been selected as one of the five Best Government Practices among all the participating States in the Chief Ministers' Conclave held in New Delhi.

The initiative aimed at promoting Good Governance was highlighted by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha in the Chief Minister’s Conclave. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the event at BJP headquarters. The party’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda was also present.

The Chief Minister’s Conclave was attended by more than 20 Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP ruled States in the country.

‘Aamar Sarkar’ initiative of the State Government was appreciated by the Prime Minister and all the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers present in the conclave. The initiative is likely to be implemented by the other States as the best practice.

‘Aamar Sarkar’ is an innovative approach launched by the Tripura government in November 2022 to redress the public grievances through online platform exclusively dedicated to the rural people.

It has facility to lodge the complaints online as well as through mobile application, upload the geo-referenced photographs as well as track the complaints online. These complaints are marked to the field officers of the 81 line departments in the State. These complaints are to be resolved by the field functionaries within 4 days, else these are escalated to the senior officers of concerned departments.

Once work is completed, it is to be verified and certified by the Head of the Department before the complaint is closed. To enable people to identify the issues, weekly “Village Walks” are conducted on every Thursday and ‘Aamar Sarkar Day’ is observed on every Monday in each of the 1,176 Gram Panchayats and village committees.

As per the data provided by the Rural Development (Panchayat) department, in last 21 months, total 52,992 issues were raised by the rural people of the State, out of which 95% issues were already resolved.
