CM leads I-Day celebrations in Tripura with pride & vision

Agartala, Aug 15: Tripura joined the country-wide celebrations on the occasion of 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and respect on Thursday.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha led the state-level programme at Assam Rifles ground in Agartala.

Dr. Saha commenced the day by hoisting the National Flag, embodying the spirit of patriotism and unity. The Chief Minister then inspected a ceremonial parade and took part in awarding medals and honors across various categories, celebrating the exemplary contributions of individuals.

The event was further enriched by a vibrant cultural program orchestrated by the Education Department, which captivated the audience with performances reflecting the essence of national pride and cultural heritage.

In his address, Dr. Saha paid homage to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters, reiterating their pivotal role in shaping the nation’s future. He highlighted Tripura's notable achievements and the ongoing government initiatives aimed at fostering growth and development in the state.

Dr. Saha reaffirmed the state government's commitment to steering Tripura towards a prosperous future and echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India). 

He urged citizens to unite in the collective effort to realize the goal of 'Ek Tripura, Shrestha Tripura', emphasizing the importance of collaborative progress for a brighter tomorrow.
