Agartala, May 12: In a landmark event that signals a new dawn for Tripura's adventure tourism industry, the state successfully hosted the inaugural "Creators Trek".
This unique initiative, organized by the Agartala Adventure Club, brought together popular content creators from across India for a first-of-its-kind trekking experience in the picturesque Longtarai Hills in Dhalai district on May 2 and 3 last.
The two-day event aimed to showcase Tripura’s unexplored natural beauty and cultural heritage to a national audience through the digital lenses of influential social media personalities.
Under the theme "Live Wild. Create Bold. Inspire More," creators participated in curated treks along scenic trails, captured stunning landscapes, and immersed themselves in the local way of life.
“This is a monumental step for Tripura,” said Debajyoti Saha, Organizing Head of the Agartala Adventure Club.
“We are thrilled to be at the forefront of this initiative. By hosting these creative minds, we are not just organizing a trek; we are creating a digital window to the world for Tripura. The content they generate will put our state, its hills, and its waterfalls on the travel wishlist of millions of people," he noted.
The first day of the trek kicked off with an enthusiastic gathering at Chawmanu, the base camp, in Dhalai district. Local communities warmly welcomed the creators, who were immediately captivated by the lush green surroundings.
The group then embarked on a challenging yet rewarding trek towards the Baba Longtrwai Peak stopping to explore hidden waterfalls and other natural gems.
A highlight of the event was the interactive session on the second day. In a heart-warming interaction, several creators were seen engaging with local children. The Agartala Adventure Club also took this opportunity to support the community, encouraging rural tourism, sportsmanship and community building.
The enthusiasm was palpable among the participating creators. Many expressed their surprise and admiration for Tripura’s natural beauty, which remains largely unknown outside the region.
One prominent creator Tista Nath remarked, “I have traveled across India, but the serenity and untouched beauty of Tripura are truly unparalleled. This trek has been an incredible discovery, and I can't wait to share my experiences with my audience.”
The event has been widely hailed as a game-changer for Tripura’s tourism. The extensive social media coverage, complete with stunning photographs and engaging videos, is expected to generate significant buzz and attract a new wave of adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts.
The "Creators Trek" has set a new benchmark for innovative tourism promotion in Northeast India. By leveraging the power of social media and connecting with a younger demographic, the initiative promises to unlock the immense potential of Tripura’s tourism sector and contribute to the state’s economic growth in the years to come under the leadership of club's founding cell of Subhajit Choudhury and Rituraj Bhowmik and club's youth cell head Debajyoti Chakraborty and Rahul Debroy.
