Current Era is Golden Period for India: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called the current era as the golden period for India. He said the country is witnessing its Amrit Kal and aiming to make India a developed nation in the next 25 years. He said Gujarat has a bigger role to play in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat.

The PM was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the various developmental projects worth over 8 thousand crore rupees at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad today. He also virtually flagged off the Country’s first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Ahmedabad and Bhuj and six other Vande Bharat Trains.

Mr Modi said the first 100 days of his third term have brought impactful development for all. He said the union government has taken unprecedented decisions during the last 100 days for the welfare of every section of society.

He said several projects related to rail, road, port and air connectivity were inaugurated during the last 100 days. He said the newly launched Namo Bharat Rapid Rail will provide convenient intercity rail transport to middle-class families. The PM also unveiled the plans for the launch of Namo Bharat Rapid Rail in other parts of the country in the coming time.

The Prime Minister said India’s global image has changed and every country is looking towards India to find solutions to their problems.

Lauding the infrastructural development of Gujarat, the Prime Minister said the day is not far when Gujarat will give India the first Made in India transport aircraft.

The six Vande Bharat trains which were flagged off today include Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hubballi, and the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to Delhi.

Mr Modi also sanctioned more than 30,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin and released the first instalment for these homes, as well as launched construction of houses under the PMAY Scheme.

On the occasion, he virtually laid the foundation stone for quadrupling the Samakhiali – Gandhidham and Gandhidham – Adipur railway lines, and the development of iconic roads and bridges in Ahmedabad.
