DAY-NULM: Tripura secures 3rd position, bags Spark Award

Agartala, June 23: In a significant milestone towards progress and prosperity, Tripura has bagged the third position in successful implementation of Deendayal Antodaya Yojana- National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM).
The state has been honoured at the national level with the Systematic Progressive Analytical Real Time Ranking (SPARK) Award- 2023 presented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on Friday.
The award highlighted the state’s unwavering commitment and tireless efforts in realizing the urban development goals under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. It is also an example of efficient governance towards inclusive growth.
On Friday, during a two-day national workshop jointly organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Kudumbashree organization of the Government of Kerala, Tripura among the best performing states were felicitated with the coveted Spark Awards.
The credit of the award goes to Tripura Urban Livelihoods Mission (TULM) under the Urban Development department.
The TULM is creating livelihoods and transforming lives through reducing poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities.
