Dial 1905, Tripura Govt launches Chief Minister Helpline

Agartala, Sept 06: Tripura government has launched Chief Minister Helpline- 1905 through which the people can now directly register their complaints as well as put suggestions and feedback.

The Chief Minister Helpline- 1905 has been launched to ensure corruption-free governance and bring more transparency in the system. First Janata Durbar and now the helpline—the government’s effort to hear the people’s voice is evident.

Ratish Debnath from Ranir Bazar and Chandan Bhowmik from Indranagar area might have never even imagined that their calls would be attended by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb himself. But, it happened soon after the launching of the helpline at IT Bhavan, Indranagar.

According to a government press release, the helpline has been launched with the objective to bring citizen's problems, valuable feedback and complaints to the Chief Minister's notice. Besides, the helpline would also enable the citizens to know about various government schemes and services.

Now, the people would have an opportunity to put their suggestions through this helpline and the government would act quickly to work on such suggestions.

Official sources said, if an emergency call comes through the Chief Minister Helpline, it would be redirected to Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) for quick attention.

The Chief Minister lauded the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) connected with police service for being helpful during the Covid pandemic. At present, 47 services are being given through e-district or e-digital platforms. So far, 141 services were hand-to-hand digitized, the press release said.

Principal Secretary J.K. Sinha, Secretary Tanusree Debbarma, and Director of IT department- Tarit Kanti Chakma among others were present in the launching ceremony.
