
Agartala, June 25: In an initiative to empower startups and promote innovation-driven entrepreneurship in the state, the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, in collaboration with IIMA Ventures and SAP, organized the Northeast Growth Lab (NEGL) Roadshow and Value Proposition Workshop at the Smart Training Centre, IT Bhavan, Agartala on Wednesday.
The programme aimed at equipping aspiring entrepreneurs and startups with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities required to scale their ventures and build sustainable businesses.
Secretary of the Information Technology department Kiran Gitte and Director Jeya Ragul Geshan B addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem in Tripura and encouraged entrepreneurs to leverage available platforms and mentorship opportunities to accelerate innovation and growth.
The workshop was conducted by representatives from IIMA Ventures, including Abhimanyu Saxena, Program Manager, Shilpa Jain, Program Manager, and Gayatri Baruah, Program Manager.
During the sessions, participants were introduced to the Northeast Growth Lab (NEGL), gaining insights into its key offerings, application process, selection criteria, and the benefits available to selected startups.
The workshop also focused on helping entrepreneurs understand and develop compelling value propositions for their businesses.
Interactive sessions and hands-on exercises on value proposition design enabled participants to refine their business ideas and identify their unique market strengths. Startups also presented their value proposition worksheets, receiving feedback and guidance from experts.
A special interaction session with a successful entrepreneur from Tripura provided participants with practical insights into the challenges and opportunities of building a business in the region. Sharing her entrepreneurial journey, she encouraged aspiring founders to remain resilient and pursue innovation-driven solutions.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs from across the state. Officials said the initiative would further strengthen Tripura's growing startup ecosystem by enhancing entrepreneurial capabilities, facilitating access to growth opportunities, and fostering a culture of innovation and enterprise.
The programme forms part of ongoing efforts to position Tripura as an emerging hub for startups and technology-driven entrepreneurship in the Northeast region.
