Empowering Women: Ananta Welfare Society launches MSDP

Agartala, Oct 20: In line with the vision for women empowerment, Ananta Welfare Society has launched a Micro Skillpreneurship Development Program (MSDP) in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad in West Tripura district.
The 26-day-long training program that commenced on October 19 last focuses on beekeeping and honey processing, imparting training to the local women with practical skills in this field. The initiative was inaugurated at Ranirgaon under Majlishpur assembly segment on October 19, with an aim to make the women self-reliant.
The inaugural event saw presence of Project Coordinator Timir Chowdhury, Founder and Secretary of Ananta Welfare Society- Dr. (Hon.) Sukanta Nath Bhowmik, along with the vice-president of the local gram panchayat and several social workers.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Bhowmik emphasized the significance of women’s participation in entrepreneurial ventures and the significance of this initiative in enhancing financial stability and societal standing of the participants.
The women beneficiaries of the MSDP expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, highlighting how this initiative would help them achieve the goal of self-reliance and also enable them to get income.
According to the organizers, the program marked a transformative step toward sustainable development in the region, particularly for women.
The MSDP would contribute significantly to the socio-economic upliftment of the women, building skilled women entrepreneurs.
