Agartala, Nov 30: Putting an end to a long wait, the Joint Recruitment Board, Tripura (JRBT) has finally published provisional results of the examinations for the Group-C and Group-D posts on Wednesday night.

Though the merit lists didn’t contain the total number of candidates passed in the examinations, the JRBT published the notification with the roll numbers of the provisionally qualified aspirants. 

Around 8000 candidates against 2500 Group-C posts and around 17000 aspirants against group-D posts have qualified the examination.

The written examination for Group-D (MTS) and Group-C posts were held on August 20 and August 22 last year respectively.

The results were supposed to be announced long ago but a court proceeding and other issues had delayed the process. There was a suppressed resentment among the aspirants over the delay. Besides, several groups of the aspiring candidates had staged protests demanding publication of the results.

According to the notification, the schedule of the programme for document verification and interview will be notified shortly. The list of provisionally qualified candidates in Group-D posts has been prepared following 1:6 ratio i,e. six times the number of vacancies as per the recent cabinet decision.
