Focused on development, Tripura CM meets six Central Ministers on single day

Agartala, July 15: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb met six central ministers in Delhi on a single day- Thursday to discuss various important issues including release of funds under different on-going projects, regularization of SSA teachers and setting up of the proposed AIIMS hospital in Tripura.
This was the Chief Minister's first visit to Delhi after the major reshuffle in the Modi cabinet 2.0. He congratulated all the central ministers with new responsibilities he met on Thursday.
Deb met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare- Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Rural Development- Giriraj Singh, Union Minister for Ayush, Ports, Shipping and Waterways- Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister of State for Social Justice Pratima Bhowmik.
Meanwhile, Deb along with his wife Niti Vidrohi Deb met Pratima Bhowmik, the MP from West Tripura parliamentary constituency who is now the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment. The Chief Minister congratulated Bhowmik for her new assignment.

The Tripura Chief Minister is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and some other central ministers on Friday to discuss various issues related to the development of the state.
However, speculations were rife that the Chief Minister's Delhi visit was connected to the possible expansion of the Tripura cabinet.
