Gomati District Hospital earns NQAS Certification

Agartala, Apr 23: Gomati District Hospital has achieved the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The information was shared during a press conference held at the office of the Medical Superintendent of Gomati District Hospital on Wednesday.

During the briefing, officials stated that a total of 14 departments of the hospital were assessed under the NQAS evaluation process. 

The hospital secured an overall score of 97.09 percent, which is the highest among all hospitals in the state.

As per the evaluation report, the hospital’s Emergency Department scored 98.65 percent, the Paediatric OPD scored 98.14 percent, and the Clinical Services Department achieved 98.05 percent.

The hospital also recorded remarkable achievements in key areas, including 100 percent in service quality and risk management, and 97.77 percent in infection control.

Officials termed the certification a significant milestone for Tripura’s healthcare sector and a major step towards improving patient care standards.

The press conference was attended by Gomati District Magistrate Rinku Lather, Chief Medical Officer Dr Kamal Reang, Medical Superintendent Dr Kajal Kumar Das, and other senior officials.
