Govt attracting international collaboration for ‘Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026'

Agartala, June 25: Strengthening the international collaboration for ‘Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026’, scheduled to be held on July 9-10, a representative of the state government held meetings with Embassies of Jordan and the Philippines in New Delhi on Tuesday.

As part of the global outreach programme, the meetings focused on Tripura’s emerging investment ecosystem and opportunities for international collaboration.

Deepak Kumar, Managing Director of TSIDC and Director of Industries & Commerce department, represented the Government of Tripura, along with representatives from FICCI.

The meetings were held with Yousef Abdelghani, Ambassador of Jordan to India, and Melissa Anne Telan, Second Secretary, Embassy of the Philippines to India.

According to official sources, during the interactions, Deepak Kumar highlighted Tripura’s investor-friendly policies, strategic location, improving connectivity, and sector-specific opportunities, reinforcing the state’s vision of becoming a preferred investment destination in Northeast India.

The discussions with the Embassy of Jordan focused on opportunities for cooperation in tourism, food processing, agriculture and allied sectors, healthcare, education, and trade facilitation. The meeting also explored avenues for enhancing business linkages and promoting investment partnerships between Tripura and Jordan.

The engagement with the Embassy of the Philippines emphasized collaboration in Information Technology, digital innovation, startup ecosystems, skill development, tourism, and MSME promotion. The discussions reflected a shared interest in knowledge exchange and fostering partnerships in sectors aligned with Tripura’s development priorities.

The dignitaries were also invited to participate in the Destination Tripura Roadshow, scheduled to be held on 9–10 July, 2026, further strengthening engagement between Tripura and international partners while promoting the state as an emerging hub for investment and innovation.

According to official sources, similar meetings were held with the embassies of Nepal and Chile to India and it was discussed as to how Tripura emerges as a dynamic investment destination, driven by robust infrastructure development and expanding opportunities across diverse sectors.

The discussions also included new avenues for investment, trade, innovation, and partnerships as Tripura paves the way for sustainable economic growth.
