Agartala, Aug 15: Assam Rifles on the occasion of 78th Independence Day celebration inaugurated a newly constructed complex of Grace English School in Panisagar, in North Tripura.

The school was built in the year 2006 and has a strength of approximately 300 students. However, the school building was in a dilapidated state for a long time. Timely intervention of Assam Rifles to develop the school infrastructure led to the renovation of the school complex.

The new complex comprises four new class rooms and has considerably uplifted the infrastructure of the school. Such initiatives of Assam Rifles underscores its commitment towards development of educational infrastructure in order to provide better academic facilities to the children, a press note from the Assam Rifles here stated this. 

Various cultural activities were performed by the students on the theme of Independence Day during the inaugural ceremony. Assam Rifles also distributed stationery and sports items to the school administration.

Further, a medical check up was conducted for the students at Grace English School by the team of medical staff of Assam Rifles. The school administration along with students and their parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this noble gesture by Assam Rifles.
