Agartala, Aug 01: Inspired by the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tripura will participate in 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign from August 13 to 15 next.
To mke the campaign successful, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday chaired a preparatory meeting at the Secretariat, Agartala.
The Chief Minister urged everyone to give special importance to this year’s "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign, originally launched nationwide by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022 to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
The Chief Minister suggested organizing events at locations with Amrit Sarovars in the state as part of the campaign.
He also emphasized celebrating the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign in border villages under the title "75 Simanto Gram Kranti Veero Ke Naam". Furthermore, he highlighted the need to share photographs of various events on social media and involve representatives at all levels. He stressed the importance of implementing the campaign throughout ADC areas as well.
The meeting was attended by Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, Secretary to the Information and Cultural Affairs department, along with principal secretaries and secretaries of various departments, and senior officials.
The District Magistrates from the eight districts also participated in the meeting via video conference.
The Secretary of the ICA department detailed the plans and programmes adopted for this year's campaign. He mentioned that the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign will be organized following similar guidelines. Over the past two years, the ICA department has been distributing Indian flags to the relevant districts.
To ensure the success of the campaign, there will be a significant emphasis on awareness programmes state-wide.
In the meeting, it was proposed to instil patriotic sentiments among students by conveying the campaign’s message during school prayer sessions. The message and appeal of the campaign will be read out at office premises on the designated dates. Various clubs, volunteer organizations, business, and social groups will also be involved in the campaign to ensure its success.
Selfie points will be set up at the headquarters of districts, sub-divisions, blocks, and urban bodies like the Agartala Municipal Corporation.
The principal secretaries and secretaries from various departments shared their plans for the successful implementation of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign. The district administrations also presented their action plans during the meeting.
