Har Ghar Tiranga: Tripura CM reviews preparations

The preparations for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Tripura has been reviewed by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha in a virtual meeting on Monday.

In the review meeting, high officials including Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha and state police chief V.S. Yadav were present.

Requisition for 5,45,477 national flags was received from the eight districts. Among them, 5,37,000 national flags would be arranged through Handloom and Handicrafts department, TRLM, TULM and central government, he told the meeting, according to Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs department Abhishek Chandra.

He also said, 50,000 paper flags, 1600 wall painting, 200 table flags and 35,000 stickers would be made through TRLM.
 
He also highlighted others like postering in road side, spread of promotional videos in Bengali and Kokborok languages, and spread of awareness message by eminent personalities on social media to be taken for making the campaign successful.
 
Secretary of Urban Development department Kiran Gitte informed the meeting that to mark Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a 30-meter high-mast flag would be installed by Agartala Municipal Corporation at the state secretariat complex.

The principal secretaries and secretaries of various departments, District Magistrates of all districts and officers of line departments also took part in the meeting through video conference.
 
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. The campaign also aims at inspiring the young generation for patriotism.
