ICFAI Convocation: Tripura Governor highlights PM's vision of ‘Developed India’

Agartala, Sept 21: Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy Nallu emphasized that India's path to becoming a global educational powerhouse lies in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India.

He was addressing the 19th convocation ceremony of ICFAI University at Kamalghat in West Tripura district.

The Governor stressed that education is the most powerful tool for shaping the future of students. However, he noted that students must not only focus on personal growth through knowledge and excellence but also play an active role in the nation's progress and welfare. He commended ICFAI University for its significant contributions to higher education.

Expressing hope about the future, he said that ICFAI University will continue to play a vital role in advancing education, particularly in the north-eastern region of the country.

Addressing the graduating students, he urged them to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation and society.

Prof. Dr. Tirupati Rao, Chancellor of ICFAI University, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Biplab Haldar, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Prof. Dr. T.G. Sitharam, and University Registrar Dr. A. Ranganath also spoke on the occasion.

A total of 1,659 students were awarded certificates during the ceremony.
