Agartala, Dec 10: The Tripura cabinet on Tuesday approved a major recruitment drive-- creation and filling up of 498 post.

Speaking to media on the cabinet decisions, Minister and cabinet spokesman Sushanta Chowdhury said, the government has decided to create and fill up 241 posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and 161 technical posts under the Health Department.

The technical posts under the Health Department include: Physiotherapist (8), Audiometry Technician (31), Dental Technician (4), ECG Technician (14), Computer Technician (4), Radiographer (29), Junior Store Keeper (9), Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician (1), Speech Therapist (2), Cataloguer (1), Dresser (6), Rehabilitation Assistant (1), Assistant (7), Ward Master (3), Ophthalmic Assistant (19), Plaster Technician (6), Carpenter (1), Library Assistant (1), Junior Librarian (1), Multi Rehabilitation Worker (1), Audio Visual Technician (2), Photographic Technician (1), TMT Technician (2), Echocardiography Technician (1), PFT Technician (2), Documentist (1), Psychiatric Social Worker (2) and Physio Technician (1).

The cabinet also approved the creation and recruitment of 96 technical posts under the Industries and Commerce Department. These posts include: Extension Officer (6), Field Assistant (38), Senior Instructor - Engineering (25), Senior Instructor - Non-Engineering (17), Store Keeper (4) and Driver (6).

Meanwhile, the state government would soon complete the process to recruit 6067 Special Executives, the minister said, adding that they would get an enhanced honorarium of Rs. 13,000 per month. As per the previous decision, their honorarium was set at Rs. 11,000 per month.
