Job Alert: Tripura govt to fill up 329 posts soon

Agartala, Nov 17: The Tripura cabinet has taken some important decisions including recruitment in 329 posts and setting up of the state’s first Dental College, Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Sushanta Chowdhury said.

Briefing the media about the cabinet decisions at the Civil Secretariat on Thursday, Chowdhury said, 263 posts of warder (male/ female) would be filled up soon. Besides, 34 vacant posts in Tripura Legislative Assembly, 17 posts of Ward Secretary under Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and 15 posts of Food Inspector (Group C) would also be filled up.

He also said the issue regarding publication of results of written examination conducted by the Joint recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) came up for discussion in the cabinet meeting on Thursday. As discussed in the meeting, the results would be published very shortly, he said.

The cabinet also gave approval for creation of 10 new posts under the Department of Information Technology, he said.

In another import move, the Tripura cabinet decided to provide dress allowance of Rs. 3895 to all 576 Home Guards each per year, Chowdhury said, adding that an annual expenditure of Rs. 22,43,520 would be required to implement the decision while dress allowance for the current year would be provided in December. Meanwhile, the present state government earlier hiked the salary of the Home Guards to Rs. 17,000.

The other major decisions of the cabinet included approval of Chief Minister's Special Scholarship for Divyangan Students. Under this scheme, the blind students in colleges would get Rs. 5000 per month, he said, adding that the cabinet also approved a hike the internship allowances for Veterinary Science students from Rs. 8000 to Rs. 9600.

The ICA minister said, the cabinet allowed transfer of the teachers posted in grant-in-aid schools once in their service tenure. He said, the recruitment process and functions of such schools would now be monitored and controlled directly by the Education department.

Secretary of Rural Development Dr. Sandeep Rathod was also present in the press conference.
