Agartala, Sept 03: In a significant success against drug trafficking, Assam Rifles, in a coordinated operation with the local Police, successfully seized 220 kg of marijuana valued at approximately Rs 90 lakh at Ambassa in Dhalai district of Tripura on Monday.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of one individual and seizure of a Bolero vehicle.

Following a tip-off, Assam Rifles swiftly launched the operation, which culminated in the seizure of the contraband and the subsequent handover of the apprehended individual and the vehicle to the Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.

This operation highlights the unwavering commitment of Assam Rifles in the fight against drug trafficking and illegal smuggling activities in the region.
