Lions Club of Agartala Metro conducts free Animal Welfare Camps

Agartala, July 20: In a commendable step towards animal welfare, the Lions Club of Agartala Metro organized a free health and food distribution camp for cows, stray animals, and birds in the city.

The initiative was carried out at two locations on Sunday—Jagannath Temple cowshed and the K-NINE Animal Rescue Centre in R.K. Nagar.

As part of the camps, nearly 30 cows and over 50 stray animals and birds were provided with free health checkups, medicines, and food.

Two veterinary doctors voluntarily assisted in the noble cause, ensuring that the animals received proper medical attention and nutrition.

Ashis Das, Secretary of Lions Club of Agartala Metro, expressed gratitude for the support received and emphasized the importance of such humanitarian activities.

He also sought support to spread awareness  and inspire more such efforts in the society.
