More opportunities for medical studies in Tripura, AGMC's MBBS seats hiked to 150

Agartala, June 30: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has granted approval to Agartala Government Medical College for increasing MBBS seat capacity from 100 to 150.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha shared the update and viewed that this significant accomplishment will provide more opportunities for aspiring medical students from the state to pursue their dream of becoming doctors.
The expansion in the number of seats is expected to enhance access to healthcare services in the future, addressing the growing demand for medical professionals in the region. This development aligns with the state government's commitment to improving the healthcare sector in Tripura, the Chief Minister commented.
“Our Government is committed to leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to improve the healthcare sector in the State,” a health official said, adding, "This increase in MBBS seats is a major step towards fulfilling that commitment, ensuring a brighter future for healthcare in Tripura."
