Agartala, Nov 20: With an aim to increase the citizens’ engagement through social media for ensuring participatory governance, MyGov Tripura is emerging as a digital tool for disseminating authentic, easy to understand and consistent information to the public.
 
This platform empowers people to connect with the government and contribute towards good governance.
 
The MyGov Tripura social media accounts and web portal has good reach among the people and serves as a communication channel between the citizens and the government.
 
MyGov Tripura is one of the important projects under DIT, which is functioning under the supervision of senior most officials.
 
The activities include – highlighting the government's welfare activities, citizen engagement, conducting- competitions, surveys and polls, publishing blogs, publishing and gathering important information and many more.
 
 The MyGov Tripura team works in coordination with all line departments for better publicity of government works.
 
The platform also broadcasts live streaming of various government programmes. MyGov Tripura Facebook page has almost 1.5 lakh followers and other platforms are also attracting a good number of followers, especially the young generation.
 
On Independence Day this year, the MyGov Tripura launched ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ theme song composed, sung and edited by the local artists creating a buzz among the public.
