NEET (UG) re-exam: Around 4,700 candidates to appear in Tripura

Agartala, June 18: The administration has completed all necessary preparations for the smooth and peaceful conduct of re-examination of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) (UG) scheduled to be held on June 21 across the country, including Tripura.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar said that nearly 4,500 candidates will appear for the examination at nine centres across the district.

According to official sources, around 4,700 students will appear in the NEET (UG) re-examination to be conducted all over Tripura on June 21 next. The exams will be conducted in 10 centers, including one centre in Dhalai district's Kamalpur, in the presence of heavy security and proper arrangements. 

The West Tripura DM informed that adequate security arrangements have been put in place at all examination centres to ensure a fair and hassle-free examination process. 

As part of the security measures, no public events or use of loudspeakers will be permitted within a 100-metre radius of any examination centre during the examination period.

The NEET examination will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. The District Magistrate urged candidates to reach their respective centres well before the scheduled reporting time to avoid any inconvenience.

Expressing confidence in the preparedness of the administration, Dr. Kumar said that with the cooperation of all stakeholders, the examination is expected to be conducted smoothly and peacefully across the district.

The District Administration, West Tripura, has officially opened a Control Room for the smooth and hassle-free conduct of the NEET (UG) – 2026 Examination, scheduled to be held on 21st June 2026. 

A dedicated team of officers and staff from the Office of the District Magistrate & Collector, West Tripura, has been deployed to monitor and coordinate examination- related activities, ensuring effective communication and prompt assistance whenever required.
