New park to come up in Tripura, Tourism minister inspects proposed site

Agartala, Aug 14: Minister for Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday inspected proposed site for an entertainment park to be set up at Sachindranagar Colony under West Tripura district.

The state-of-the-art park will be developed under Swadesh Darshan Scheme at an estimated cost of Rs. 50 crore.
During his visit on Saturday, Chowdhury, accompanied by senior officials from the Tourism department, discussed the project's potentials and financial arrangements.

He said that the department has a plan to finance any additional costs through loans to ensure the park’s development into a world-class attraction.

Chowdhury also interacted with local representatives and the public, addressing various concerns and providing detailed information about the project.

The new entertainment park is expected to become a major attraction, further boosting Tripura's appeal as a tourist destination.

The Tourism minister has been actively working to elevate the state's tourism profile on the global stage. His initiatives include appointing former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly as the state's tourism brand ambassador.
