Maligaon, Nov 08: The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run eight numbers of special train services in view of the the ongoing rush of passengers at railway stations for Chhath festival.
The special trains will be operated on 9th November, 2024, according to a press release issued by CPRO Kapinjal Kishore Sharma.
Details of special trains:
Train No. 05903 (Katihar-Muzaffarpur) special will depart from Katihar at 21:40 hrs to reach Muzaffarpur at 04:00 hrs. next day.
Train No. 07541 (Katihar-Dauram Madhpura) special will depart from Katihar at 19:00 hrs to reach Dauram Madhpura at 22:00 hrs.
Train No. 04047 (Katihar-Anand Vihar Terminal) special will depart from Katihar at 18:00 hrs to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 17:50 hrs. next day.
Train No. 07540 (Katihar-Manihari) special will depart from Katihar at 20:30 hrs to reach Manihari at 21:30 hrs.
Train No. 05740 (New Jalpaiguri-Patna) special will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 05:00 hrs to reach Patna at 17:40 hrs.
Train No. 04196 (Forbesganj-Agra Cantt) special will depart from Forbesganj at 18:40 hrs to reach Agra Cantt at 07:10 hrs. on 11th November, 2024.
Train No. 05932 (Dibrugarh-Kolkata Terminal) special will depart from Dibrugarh at 17:20 hrs to reach Kolkata at 23:00 hrs. next day.
Train No. 09526 (Naharlagun-Hapa) special will depart from Naharlagun at 10:00 hrs to reach Hapa at 00:30 hrs. on 12th November, 2024.
The press statement said, extensive arrangements have been made at stations for the convenience of passengers. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is ensuring organized& smooth boarding arrangements for passengers into trains at stations.
Main stations have designated waiting areas with public announcement systems, train display boards, seating areas, and CCTV cameras for passenger’s convenience. For updated details and information the passengers are requested to visit various social media platforms of NFR.
