Agartala, Oct 12: The Office of the District Magistrate and Collector, North Tripura, Government of Tripura, and the Centre for Microfinance & Livelihood (CML), an associate organisation of Tata Trusts, have entered into a non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote holistic development across North Tripura.
The partnership will focus on three key areas: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), Livelihoods, and Education. Key initiatives include springshed management and rejuvenation, water quality improvement, rural sanitation and hygiene, climate-resilient agriculture, fisheries, livestock development, skill building, and foundational literacy and numeracy.
Building on CML’s ongoing springshed work in Jampui Hills and Damchhera blocks since January 2025, the collaboration will strengthen community participation and promote convergence with government schemes, including PMDDKY, VBG-RAM-G, and other relevant development programmes.
The District Administration will facilitate coordination with relevant line departments and support convergence with government schemes, while CML will contribute technical expertise, field-level support and community-led development approaches.
The partnership aims to strengthen water security, improve rural livelihoods and enhance educational outcomes through sustainable development initiatives.
