Odisha to get new direction under leadership of CM Mohan Majhi: Tripura CM

Agartala, June 12: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said Odisha would get a new direction of development under the leadership of new Chief Minister Mohan Majhi.
Dr. Saha was speaking to the media after visiting Jagannath Temple in Puri. He also attended the swearing-in ceremony of new Odisha Chief Minister at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking with reporters, Dr. Saha said that he performed a holy act by offering worship to Lord Jagannath after 22 years.
“It feels good. Today, after attending the oath-taking ceremony, I came here on behalf of the people of Tripura. I believe that the new Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Majhi, will set a new direction for the state's development. Progress in Odisha is just a matter of time," Dr. Saha said.
He continued, "On behalf of the people of Tripura, I want to congratulate the people of Odisha. I prayed to Lord Jagannath to keep everyone happy and peaceful because, without peace, development is not possible. The people of Odisha need developmet."
Meanwhile, along with the Chief Minister, two deputy Chief Ministers- Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, and 13 ministers also took oath.
Odisha Governor Raghubar Das administered oath to Majhi and his council of ministers.
The ceremony registered glorious presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers- Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Jual Oram, Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupinder Yadav and chief ministers of several BJP ruled states including Dr. Saha.
BJD supremo and former chief minister Naveen Patnaik and many other dignitaries were also present in the swearing-in ceremony.
