OIRDS signs MoU with TRPCL for infra boost in 8 rubber processing units

Agartala, July 30: In an infrastructure boost to rubber processing units in Tripura, the Oil India Rural Development Society (OIRDS) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tripura Rehabilitation Plantation Corporation Ltd (TRPCL).

As per the MoU, the OIRDS will upgrade infrastructure at 8 rubber processing centres and provide rubber processing training to tribal and rural communities in Tripura under OIL’s CSR initiative.

A team of officials from OIL later visited one of the rubber processing centres.

The MoU was signed by Jyotirmoy Bhattacharjee, President-OIRDS & CGM-F&A, and Dr. Honnarredy N., IFS, Managing Director, TRPCL.

The event was also attended by Dr. K Sasikumar, IFS, Secretary, TRP&PTG, Debashis Bora, Vice-President, OIRDS & CGM-FA, OIL, R.K. Singh, CGM-HSE, OIL and Senior officials of OIL and OIRDS.

This collaboration reflects OIL’s commitment to empowering rural communities and promoting sustainable livelihoods through skill development and infrastructure enhancement.
